The ERP Functional Analyst Finance role is to collaborate closely with business clients and client-facing IT within Fuel Injection Systems and Aftermarket divisions, in the areas of Finance and Controlling. The role requires in-depth knowledge and understanding of SAP Finance and Controlling, how it relates to company business processes and how it integrates with other Systems & other integrated SAP modules.
The main sub-modules in the Finance & Controlling area that are used within the company are: General Ledger, Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Investment Management, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis.
This position will work with business colleagues and IT partners to develop the most cost effective, flexible, and scalable Finance application architecture to meet BorgWarner’s short-term and long-term solution requirements, in line with the Enterprise SAP template. This position also provides overall strategy and solutions with regard to multiple business processes in their areas of expertise and will work with other IT groups and suppliers to provide technical and process guidance as needed, and evaluate vendor products and services that could provide improved and more effective solutions.
The SAP Functional Analyst Finance works globally within the SAP Core Team within BorgWarner and reports directly to appointed IT Manager Fuel Injection Systems and Aftermarket SAP L2.
Coordinate with 3rd party supplier and ensure proper SAP support for legacy ERP of former Delphi Technologies in the area of Finance & Controlling
Actively engage in the SAP migrations of former Delphi Technologies plants and sites into BorgWarner Enterprise SAP, as per the SAP roll-out schedule in place for the next 2-3 years
Use current knowledge of business and technology to recommend systems and process improvements to increase the value of insights generated
Gather business needs for one or multiple business domains and the supporting information domain and define underlying business cases
Translate non-technical requirements into technical business requirements
Partner with business SMEs as well as with the client-facing IT teams to elicit and document business requirements for new and/or enhanced analytics capabilities (reports)
Build trustworthy and value-based relationships business representatives across different domains and processes to establish good communication and a good understanding of business drivers.
Operate as a business consultant/analyst in the business domain of SAP Finance and Controlling as part of the L2 SAP team for Fuel Injection Systems and Aftermarket
Provide guidance and direction on new business demand, innovation and technology linked topics in the IT business/information domain
Support the SAP migration process to BorgWarner Enterprise SAP and ensure the Enterprise SAP template is followed for the area of Finance & Controlling
Bachelor’s degree in the Business Administration, Computer science, Engineering, or a comparable course of studies
Not less than 3 years of SAP Finance & Controlling domain experience or commensurate, demonstrated expertise
Not less than 3 years of business analysis related experience or commensurate, demonstrated expertise
Proven ability to learn new applications, processes, and procedures
Proven ability and willingness to collaborate in a team environment and exercise independent judgment
Demonstrated detail orientation
Comfortable facilitating workshops with small and large groups
Ability to create constructive relationships, influence, and communicate to multiple stakeholders, including client management, IT management, and non-technical staff
Self-Manages: Demonstrated ability to work autonomously towards a goal
Exposure to ITIL and/or other structured service management methodologies
Excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and oral)
Fluent in English, written and verbal
Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Management or Computer Science
At least 3 years’ experience in marking, shaping and developing business solutions in SAP Finance & Controlling area
Good knowledge of the core business processes domain ERP
